Assam ITI Admission 2026

Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training (DECT), Assam has released the official ITI admission notification 2026 for admission into Government and private ITIs of Assam for the session 2026 – 2027. Interested and eligible candidates of Assam may apply online at www.itiassam.nic.in for admission in NCVT/CoE trades, SCVT trades, SCVT under IMC, NCVT under IMC (NCVT & SCVT trades run by IMC in some ITIs) under Craftsman Training Scheme.

Academic session: 2026 – 2027

Recognizing authority/ board: NCVT and SCVT

Trades offered: NCVT/CoE trades, SCVT trades, SCVT under IMC, NCVT under IMC (NCVT & SCVT trades run by IMC in some ITIs)

Eligibility Criteria for Assam ITI Admission

Course wise eligibility criteria and other details for courses under different ITIs of Assam are as given below. 

1. Stenographer & Secretarial Assistant (English), Fashion Design & Technology, Desk Top Publishing (DTP) Operator, Multi Media Animation and Special Effects, Digital Photographer, Mechanic Auto Body Painting, Secretarial Practice (English), Cosmetology, Food Production (General),Front Office Assistant, Floriculture & Landscaping, Fire Technology & Industrial Safety Management (minimum physical requirements are i. Height – 165 cm ii. Weight – 52 kg iii. Chest – Normal 81 cm – Expanded 85 cm iv. A registered MBBS doctor must certify that the candidate is medically fit to undertake the course), Food & Beverages Service Assistant

Duration: 01 year
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class  or its equivalent

2. Computer Operator & Programming Assistant

Duration: 01 year
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination

3. BLTT (Bodo Language Transcription Trade)

Duration: 6 months
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination

4. Mechanic Diesel, Pump Operator cum Mechanic, Plastic Processing Operator, Mechanic Tractor, Soil Testing and Crop Technician, Mechanic Auto Body Repair, Solar Technician (Electrical), Mechanic Two and Three Wheeler

Duration: 01 year
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination with Science & Mathematics or its equivalent.

5. COE sector (BBBT modules): Plastic processing sector, Fabrication(Fitting & Welding) sector, Construction & Wood Working sector, Information Technology sector

Duration: 01 year
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination

6. Painter( General)

Duration: 02 years
Educational Qualification: Passed 08th class examination

7. Mechanic Agricultural Machinery

Duration: 02 years
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination with Science & Mathematics

8. Electrician, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Draughtsman Civil, Draughtsman Mechanical, Fitter,  Machinist, Turner, Surveyor, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Refrigeration & Air Conditioner Technician,, Information & Communication Technology System Maintenance, Maintenance Mechanic Chemical Plant

Duration: 02 years
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination with Science & Mathematics or its equivalent

9. Wireman

Duration: 02 years
Educational Qualification: Passed 8th class examination

10. Welder, Plumber, Dress Making, Sewing Technology, Surface Ornamentation Techniques (Embroidery), Mason (Building Constructor), Bamboo Works

Educational Qualification: Passed 8th class examination

11. IoT Technician (Smart City), IoT Technician (Smart Health Care)

Duration: 01 year

equivalent 

12. Industrial Robotics & Digital Manufacturing Technician, Artificial Intelligence Programming Assistant, Artisan Using Advanced Tool

Duration: 01 year
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination

13. CNC MACHINING TECHNICIAN, Mechanic Electric Vehicle, Manufacturing Process Control and Automation Technician, Basic Designer and Virtual Verifier (Mechanical)

Duration: 02 years
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination

14. Semiconductor Technician 

Duration: 02 years
Educational Qualification: Passed 12th class examination with science (physics & Mathematics) or equivalent.

15. Additive Manufacturing Technician (3D Printing) 

Duration: 02 years
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics or with vocational subject in same sector or its equivalent.

16. Drone Technician

Duration: 6 Months 
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics or with vocational subject in same sector or its equivalent.

Age Limit: The age of the candidates for admission must not be below 14 years as on 1st July 2026 .

Interested and eligible candidates must first register their name online by visiting official ITI Admission Portal. Candidates may follow below mentioned steps to apply for these courses.

• Scroll down, go to Important Web-Links section .
• Click on the “Online Registration Form” and complete the registration process by clicking “New Candidate Registration“. 
• After that again click on  Online Registration Form Link and login with your Application Number & Password. 
• Fill your all personal and educational details and upload necessary documents.
• After all these steps, pl submit the online application form .
• At the end, take a print out of the application form .
